dear diary,
yesterday 09092005 i went to the zoo with sebastian! it was so fun! okay. let's start right from the beginning!
we planned to meet at 8.30am at choa chu kang mrt station and from there take the bus 927 to the zoo. (no taxi, hahahaha) i was so excited about my trip to the zoo!! hahahaha.
anyway i woke up around 7.07am and i was late!!!! arrrrgh! by the time i was ready it was around 8am or 8.05am and i smsed him asking if he wanted a sandwich. he did, so i made tuna and peanut butter sandwiches with the help of my dad and left. i reached around 9am and we took the bus and left for the zoo! i ate the tuna and peanut butter sandwich on the bus cos i was sleepy and hungry and we talked all the way to the zoo. surprisingly, it wasnt a long bus ride. in fact, it was pretty fast and before i knew it, we were at the zoo! THE SINGAPORE ZOO. ((:
the first animal show we went to was the polar bear feeding! it was really cool watching the polar bears. =) we also saw the snakes, the crocs, the eleplants, the hippos, the parrots and birds, the monkeys, the sun bears, the sloths, and not forgetting ah meng! hahhaha =P we also went to the FRAGILE FOREST. the place full of butterflies! we also saw many different kinds of frogs, stick insects, leaf insects, many different kind of insects basically, beatles, spiders, scorpions, and the most disgusting one of all, hissing cockroaches. ewwwww. but anyway once we stepped into the fragile forest itself, it was quite fun. i mean i didnt like all those butterflies coming near me, but i could adore them from afar. we took pics there too and saw some kind of animal that hangs upside down by its tail. i forgot its name but it that was really cool. oh ya, we also saw bats and parrots inside! well, not really parrots, but these red birds that made alot of noise. lols. LASTLY, we saw the white tiger. it was beautiful. ((: really nice. i love the white tiger. the way they look, they way they walk, everything.
i had loads of fun seeing all the animals there! it was really hot though but still enjoyable. we took lots of pictures and we even sat in the "garden with a view"! we walked for ages and saw heaps of animals and when the heat was killing the both of us, we finally took shade in one of the animal places. we ate lunch in the food court since the forest lodge was only entitled to people that want to eat the buffet and we were saving our stomachs for the high tea. =) i ate nuggets and fries and sebastian ate fried rice with chicken. it sucked. they should just change it to mcdonalds. the food would be loads better. hahaha. but it was fun anyways. by that time we were so hot and tired that we just sat there for over an hour.! after that we headed off to see the BABOONS (sebastian's home) LOL and it was so fun seeing all their red backsides! i just cant get over them! its just so funny! hahaha. and sebastian ALL THE ANIMALS SALUTE U WITH THE ROYAL FLAG. hahhaha. want to know what's their royal flag? their BACKSIDES. wahahaha! first the camel showed his butt to sebastian. then the rhino. then the monkeys and last but not least, the BABOONS also showed the royal flag! HAHAHAHA. =P sebastian... the animals SALUTE YOU! hahahha. anyway we also saw the famous AH MENG. hahaha. ah ming ah. glad to see you back in your natural habitat. ((: we also went to the children's world and saw horses, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, mice, mole-rats, pigs, goats, sheep and cows. hahaha it was really fun. saw alot of animal babies too. and finally 4pm came! time for the high tea buffet! we headed down to the "PRIVATE FUNCTIONS ROOM" and the high tea buffet spread was not bad. there was even sui mai! (not sure if that spelling is correct). its a tim sum delicacy. there was mee siam, small curry puffs, spring rolls, these prawn rolls thingy, sponge cake, chocholate cake, french cakes and loads more. hahaah but by the time we got there we were already so full! imagine after eating all those. we were STUFFED. hahahaha ((: but it was nice sitting there enjoying the coolness of the air-con. there was the children's show and this "clown" came out and started blowing balloons and doing magic for the kids but the only thing that was wrong about the whole performance was the music! they were playing techno music while performing for the kids! hahahaha. was more like being in a club! lols. there was the lucky draw at 5pm but aww too bad.. sebastian didnt get any prizes even when he had 2 tickets. :(( but nevermind!
so after that we headed back out to the zoo and it was around 5.30pm and we walked over to the bus stop (no taxi! ahhh?!) and took bus 138 and headed to ang moh kio mrt station and from there we went to orchard! we went to lido, intending to watch a movie but in the end we decided not to and headed to mos burger and bought a drink. we sat there, drinking, resting, relaxing, talking, laughing and enjoying the air-con (once again) for a long time before we went to borders. sebastian looked for an economics book while i took a few magazines. and guess what i found? DOLLY. my favourite magazine from new zealand! i miss that mag. ((: anyway after reading we were about to head home when something cropped up. (unable to say here, sorry, but dun worry, nothing bad) hahaha. anyway sebastian walked me from the orchard bus-stop to the park mall bus stop (it was a long but very nice walk) and from there he sent me home.
it was a really lovely day, one of the best i've ever had. sebastian, thank you for paying for my ticket and bringing me to the zoo with the high tea buffet. it was really nice going out with you. you are the besT! =P haha i cant get too personal here since this is an internet diary, but u know what i've said.
